In The City. 

Week 39 - Journal 52 prompt. 

 

Of course this city I chose to make an art journal page about was London. I have lived in London my entire life and I love it!

The background for this art journal page was created using spray inks through stencils. 

I cut out three silhouette's of London city skyline. I then painted them all using water colour paint's, one of them in orange, one in red and the last in black mixed with brown. Next I layered the silhouette's on top of one another starting with the lightest at the front, the darkest at the back and stuck them down. I found some images of London landmarks and the word 'London' in the newspaper and I cut these out and glued them on to the page. 

Then using my sewing machine I stitched along the center of the silhouette, to create a line between the land and the water. 

Lastly I added some journaling and I highlighted the silhouette using a white sekura gelly roll pen.
