Making Time

Week 35 Prompt for Journal 52 - Making Time

We all live hectic lives, I know that as a mother even when I get a day off, I'm still on mum duty!

I find it really difficult to totally relax. However after seeing the prompt 'Making Time' I thought that

is exactly what I need to do... I should make some time for myself. Time in which I can relax and time where if I should chose, I can be creative.

This is precisely what I did, I sat down, I put on a CD of soft piano music and the I got out my paints and just started adding marks to my journal page.

I then took a black Staedtler pigment fineliner, and

began to doodle all over my page. I really enjoyed doing this, it was so freeing to create in this way.

No over thinking, just doing!

I added the date and the words 'Making Time' to my page. I then took a blue glittered butterfly embellishment and stuck it down. The butterfly looked good but I wanted it to become more of a focal point on the page. So I added a white butterfly on top of the blue one and I then coloured in the center of the butterfly using my black pen and a yellow highlighter pen.
