Journal 52 Week 23 Prompt: Passion 

 

My Passion is my family. My relatives, the ones who are here with us now and also my relations from the past. I enjoy genealogy, I have researched my dads family back to the early 1700's.  I feel like a detective trying to find out facts and information about people who came before us. I have already found out so many things and I hope to continue to do so with each branch of my family tree. 

 

For this Journal page I took red, yellow and gold acrylic paints and pulled them across the page using an old credit card. I like the texture I achieved when using this technique. I then drew around my hand (to create a tree like shape) in the centre of the page. 

After that I wrote and doodled some words about family across the entire page. Finally I used a red and a yellow posca paint pen to draw around the word Family and to also add some details on the page.
