Week 38 Prompt From Journal 52.

 

The background for this art journal page was created using acrylic craft paints, the main colour used for the background was sage green. 

I drew the girl's face using a Derwent colour soft pencil - Brown Earth C630. I then coloured and shaded the face using other Derwent colour soft pencils Ochre - Pink - Cream - Blush pink and Dark Terracotta.  

I used Aquatone solid watercolour sticks to add colour to the eyes, the hair and also the flowers. 

Using a white sekura gelli roll pen I added highlights to the flowers and also to the eyes, lips and teeth.

I found this poem online and printed it, then cut out the text and glued it to my page. 

Beneath each sentence/word I used a blue watercolour stick to add shading. 

In the bottom right hand corner of the page, I stuck down a piece of printed velum which has flowers on it. Lastly I added the date and my art journal page was complete.
