Week 28 Journal 52 prompt - Technology.

For this prompt we were asked to think about the technology we use and love today. After some thought I realised how much people rely on technology for so many different reasons.

 

We all used some form of technology everyday of our lives, yet we all take it for granted. I started to think of how we would all manage today without technology, no phones, computers, no life saving equipment in the hospitals. Not to mention all the household items we would be lost without, vacuums, irons, washing machines etc. The only thing I'm not so grateful for is the way in which technology makes us all become so robotic, we don't talk to each other anymore.

 

People spend all their time online, searching the web, texting or using technology such as computer/video games that we forget to interact with each other on a personal level. Hence the reason I decided to create a robotic woman for my art journal page, She is a beautiful woman,  who has like so many of us allowed technology to take over her life and in doing this it has taken over her. She has become robotic, without care or feeling, she just lives her life going through the motions as if she was programmed to do so. Forgetting to reach out for human interaction and love.
